CHITRAL: Students at the Government Degree College Boni in Upper Chitral staged a protest on Monday, demanding the supply of clean drinking water for their school. They blocked the Boni road, halting all types of traffic.
The students have been facing a severe drinking water crisis. Despite numerous complaints, the authorities have not taken any meaningful action to address the issues the students are experiencing.
The protesters emphasised that access to clean water is a fundamental right for every citizen. They are calling on the government and district administration to urgently provide clean drinking water to the college.
The students warned that if their demands are not met soon, they will escalate their protest.
